Hillsborough County is running a curbside Fight the Blight cleanup Nov. 2-6 in three neighborhood zones in Seffner and Plant City. Residents can set eligible items out the night before pickup, but yard waste, commercial tires and hazardous chemicals are excluded.

Hillsborough County’s Fight the Blight cleanup is running Monday through Friday, Nov. 2-6, in three neighborhood zones: Seffner Trail and Mobile, Seffner NW, and Plant City’s Oakview Estates. Residents in those areas can set eligible items at the curb the night before pickup.
Check the boundaries before you set anything out
The county says the Seffner Trail and Mobile zone is bordered by Henry Street, E. Old Hillsborough Avenue, Mobile Drive and Trail Drive. Seffner NW is bordered by U.S. 92, Lee Street and Hillsborough Circle, Mobile Villa Drive and Royal Oak Drive, and Williams Road. Oakview Estates in Plant City is bordered by N. Willow Drive, Jim Johnson Road, Clemons Road, and W. Willow Drive and Pineway Drive.
What can go to the curb
The county says the team will take furniture, junk, debris, metal, electronics and up to five non-commercial tires. It will not accept yard waste, commercial vehicle tires or hazardous chemicals, and the program is funded through annual solid waste assessments paid by community property owners.
