Bern’s Steak House and other South Howard-area property owners have filed two lawsuits challenging Tampa’s roughly $100 million flood-relief project, FOX 13 reported October 9. The plaintiffs are asking a judge to block construction while the disputes are resolved.

The city describes the project as a major stormwater system intended to reduce flooding along South Howard Avenue and in nearby Parkland Estates and Palma Ceia Pines. The lawsuits bring that planned infrastructure work into a court dispute.
